Her Dragon Destiny is book 5 of 6 in the Black Claw Dragons series.Overall a good dragon shifter series.Maddox and BethanyI liked this story.We first met Maddox as a very troubled teen in the first book, Her Dragon Daddy. We’ve watched him through his very first shift, and becoming part of a very close, powerful family. And along with his uncle, take on as many females as he can, becoming the town players. Now he’s found his mate.Maddox and his dragon, recognize early that Bethany is their fated mate. But he is in no way ready to settle down with anyone. Let alone a single mom. He is making plans to move out of state to continue his education. And to put much needed distance between him and his loving, but invasive family. But he can’t seem to stop himself from stepping in when he thinks she needs saving.Bethany is a successful business owner. She started flipping houses with her best friend and the father of her young daughter. After his death, she’s trying to keep the business growing, and move on. As difficult as that is, it’s made more so by Maddox sticking his nose into everything she does. He’s rude, condescending and bossy. And she wants nothing to do with him.These two get off to a rocky start, but slowly start to see the good in each other. Maddox starts thinking a mate might not be so bad. Bethany starts to see a long term relationship starting. Until Maddox has to tell her his big secret. And that doesn’t go quite as planned.Add in some angry and aggressive grandparents and this is a pretty good story.Overall a good addition to the series. It could’ve used one more pass through and editor.Dual points of view.No cheating.HEA. This story is about Maddox and Bethany, a single mom working to make a good life for her daughter. Things between them don't start out well, but end up starting to change for the better. There are other issues that come up, but I don't want to say too much. The chemistry between them is great and I enjoyed it. The one thing I didn't like was the inconsistencies that were in the book. The last book in this series had Maddox's eleven year old sister meeting Bethany's three year old daughter, and in this book had them meeting for the first time again, but Marx's sister is now thirteen, but Bethany's daughter is still three. Lime the last book, I think it could have gone through another round or two with an editor. I'm going to finish the series because I'm invested in it, and I like the storylines. I can only hope that the next one doesn't have as many inconsistencies as the last few books have.
